Vredefort Dome Tours
Guided 4x4 tours and trail walks presented by Christo Meyer, a registered specialist tour guide for the Vredefort Doem World Heritage site at Kopjeskraal Country Lodge.

The Tours consists of a presentation of the Vredefort Dome Impact structure. A video presentation, explanation of the unique geology and melt rock formations, guided walks on accredited trails or a 4x4 drive to view the central impact structure and central up lift of the meteorite impact. These tours are tailor made to suit the group's spesific requirements and needs.

Rates for 2010:

  • 2 Hour Walking trail option: R100.00 p/p. Children under 12: R50 p/child
  • 2.5 Hours 4x4 drive option: R150.00 p/p. Children under 12: R75 p/child
  • 1 Day field trips for schools: R30 p/learner.
  • Educators and Organisers: FREE
  • 1 Day visits for large groups, churches, etc: R100 p/p. Children under 12: R50 p/child Organisers: FREE
